How Employers Rule Our Lives (and Why We Don’t Talk about It)
If a “government” is something that governs, or makes decisions for you, and public/private denotes how transparent a thing is, we can consider The Government to be a public government, with their public records laws, public votes, and general transparency into the decisions and how they’re made. You are able to, in theory, participate in those decisions. In contrast, your employer also governs, but those decisions are entirely opaque and exclusionary.
